Waste Collection Schedule Altered by Severe Winter Weather – February 15, 2021

MONDAY MORNING UPDATE
All of our Drivers and Helpers are on their Monday Garbage Routes. There is no recycling today or for the remainder of this week. We will continue to monitor the weather conditions throughout this morning and this afternoon. The rain is supposed to start around 6:30 am – 7:00 am this morning and continue through 1 pm this afternoon. The temperature on the west side of St. Tammany Parish is currently forecasted to drop below freezing at 8 am this morning. Our Drivers and Helpers will stay on their routes until we deem the roads are no longer safe. At that time we will bring all trucks back to the yard.
RECYCLING SUSPENDED
We have suspended recycling services this week. We will resume recycling services next week.
NO SERVICES ON TUESDAY
Out of an abundance of caution and for the health and safety of our Drivers and Helpers, we are not running any services on Tuesday. We will resume with normal garbage routes on Wednesday. Our goal is to make sure that everyone has at least 1 collection of garbage this week.
WEDNESDAY/THURSDAY WEATHER
The current weather forecast for Wednesday is 90% chance of rain with lows in the mid 30’s and the high is the low 50’s. The current weather forecast for Thursday is 50% chance of rain with lows in the low 20’s and highs in the low 40’s. We will continue to monitor the weather forecast for the remainder of this week and make adjustments if needed.
