Post Hurricane Garbage and Debris Update
MONDAY EVENING NOVEMBER 2nd
Due to the high volume of garbage across St. Tammany Parish, we were not able to complete all of Monday’s routes. We will complete the routes in the following areas first thing tomorrow morning prior to starting our regular Tuesday routes. At this time we are only picking up Garbage that is in the carts so that we can make sure all household garbage has been picked up.

We are only picking up garbage that is in the carts on first collection day this week. We will start picking up bagged items on Wednesday. However, it could take several weeks to pick up all bagged storm debris. DRC has been contracted by the City to pick up all green waste debris not in bags. They will start picking up loose storm debris on Monday, November 9th. Please contact this City if you have any questions about the loose storm debris being picked up by DRC.
In an effort to concentrate on getting all household garbage and storm collection debris – there will be NO RECYCLING collection on Wednesday. We will use these assets to start collecting bagged storm debris.
TAMMANY UTILITIES – GARBAGE DISTRICT #1
We were not able to complete the following areas in Garbage District #1. We will completed these areas tomorrow morning prior to starting our regular Tuesday routes.

The Parish will be picking up ALL storm debris in Garbage District #1. The have been picking up loose debris since Friday. They will start picking up ALL bagged items on Wednesday. Please keep storm debris separated from your Garbage and Recycling.
LAKE VILLAGE SUBDIVISION— 85% of the area was completed. The remaining customers will be picked up on Tuesday morning. The Parish will be picking up Storm Debris.
RESOLVE WATER SYSTEM
We will complete picking up garbage only in the following areas on Tuesday morning. The Parish will be picking up storm debris.

The following subdivisions will be completed on Tuesday morning prior to us starting our regular Tuesday routes. The Parish will be picking up in the areas that are not gated. We are in discussions with the Parish to see if they will pick up debris in the gated areas if the HOA’s will allow them access. We will post a notice when we receive an update.
