City of Slidell and Picayune Recycling Cancelled
RECYCLING IS CANCELLED IN THE CITY OF SLIDELL AND CITY OF PICAYUNE ON WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 4th
The volume of garbage continues to be very heavy across all areas that service in St. Tammany Parish. We appreciate your patience and understanding as our team continues to work very hard on getting all household garbage removed from the curb.
The City of Slidell has contracted with DRC to pick up storm debris in the City of Slidell. They will start picking up storm debris on November 9th. This process will take several weeks. Please monitor the City’s website and Facebook page for further updates.
St. Tammany Parish will be picking up storm debris across the Parish. Please monitor the Parish’s Facebook page and website for further updates.
The following areas that are normally picked up on Tuesday will be picked up on Wednesday morning. As a reminder, we are only picking up garbage inside the carts at this time. We will start to pick up bagged storm debris on the second collection day this week or on first collection day next week. It will take several weeks to pick up all storm debris. The majority of the area was completed. However there is about 20% left to complete. This includes Charles Ct, Windward Passage, Marina Drive
OAK HARBOR
We were unable to get to any areas in Oak Harbor today. We will be there first thing in the morning.
LAKESHORE VILLAGES OF SLIDELL
We were unable to get to any areas in Lakeshore Villages today. We will be there first thing in the morning.
WEST SIDE OF ST. TAMMANY PARISH
Lewsisberg, Brookside, Parc DuLac, Rue Piper, Tanglewood , the area between N or 190 and W of Hwy 59
Tall Timbers, Hwy 22 behind the McDonalds area.
We were unable to get to any of these areas today. We will be there first thing in the morning to complete these areas prior to running our normal Wednesday routes.
